Algebra decisions

Complete every decision, then check the algebra reasoning.

This pilot aligns only to MAT-0338, MAT-0339 and MAT-0342–MAT-0346 through four selected original factorisation/identity, quadratic-feature, function/transformation and contextual-graph tasks. Transformations and gradient/area interpretation are explicitly higher-attaining extensions. It does not establish general graphing fluency, practical plotting accuracy or unfamiliar-function transfer. It does not complete the Algebra unit, provide a lesson sequence or satisfy an assessment.

How “Grade 10 Algebra and Graph Studio” works

🎓 Learning objective: Manipulate expressions, distinguish identities, interpret functions, and connect graph features to contexts.

How to get the most from this studio:

  1. 📋 Select a mission

Each mission targets specific syllabus outcomes — the codes are stated on this page.

  2. ✍️ Work with precision

Choose answers you can justify with correct notation, a definition or a method — exactly as you would in an exam.

  3. 🧾 Check and critique

After checking, select the justification that reflects rigorous reasoning. Every claim needs a reason.

Missions in this studio: Factor expressions and distinguish identity from equation · Connect quadratic roots, intercept and turning point · Recognise function graphs and translate a graph · Interpret contextual graphs, gradients and areas

💡 Exam habit: quote the theorem, definition or calculation that supports each step.
