Grade 10 Ratio and Proportion Studio

Compare similar measures, convert compound units, and interpret direct and inverse proportion.

Grade 10 · original tasks · no voice

Ratio decisions

Complete every decision, then check the ratio reasoning.

This pilot aligns only to MAT-0355–MAT-0357 through four selected original similarity, compound-unit, direct-proportion and inverse-proportion tasks. Constructing an inverse-proportion equation is explicitly a higher-attaining extension. It does not establish general proportional reasoning, trigonometric-ratio fluency or unfamiliar-context transfer. It does not complete the Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change unit, provide a lesson sequence or satisfy an assessment.

How “Grade 10 Ratio and Proportion Studio” works

🎓 Learning objective: Compare similar measures, convert compound units, and interpret direct and inverse proportion.

How to get the most from this studio:

  1. 📋 Select a mission

Each mission targets specific syllabus outcomes — the codes are stated on this page.

  2. ✍️ Work with precision

Choose answers you can justify with correct notation, a definition or a method — exactly as you would in an exam.

  3. 🧾 Check and critique

After checking, select the justification that reflects rigorous reasoning. Every claim needs a reason.

Missions in this studio: Compare similar lengths, areas and volumes using scale factors · Convert pay and speed compound units · Form and use a direct-proportion equation · Form and use an inverse-proportion equation

💡 Exam habit: quote the theorem, definition or calculation that supports each step.
